I owe the Lord a morning song
Of gratitude and praise,
For the kind mercy He has shown
In lengthening out my days.
This song was “there” as soon as I awoke this morning.
I would only change the last line–
because David’s last line is my song, too, no matter if my days are lengthened or shortened:
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
I owe the Lord a morning song of gratitude and praise.
Amen.
